Project Outcome:  Placed full time psychologist for a full year to support family psychology services at FVM-E

At Fundacion Vivamos Mejor 120 children attend the nursery school. The children also receive a breakfast, lunch, medical, dental and psychological services.

Fundacion Vivamos Mejor has a special place in the hearts of everyone at Villa Esperanza. FVM-E was the first international organization to work with us, and we are very grateful for their help and support.

After our first fundraising effort, we were able to sponsor an expansion of FVM-E’s psychological services.  Working in consultation with the leadership and volunteers at FVM-E, we completely understand the need to provide psychological and social services to the children and the larger community of Mapasingue. While the children who attend FVM-E’s school receive education, meals and health services that alleviate their economic situation,  they also suffer from other traumas often associated with poverty such as: domestic abuse, abandonment due to parents migrations,  etc. We commend FVM-E for their comprehensive approach towards the community they serve, and we feel honored to participate in their efforts.
